This training maximises your chance of passing the exam and earning APMP Foundation Certification – the first step in the globally recognised APMP certification program specifically designed for proposal professionals.

Who is the APMP Foundation workshop for?

This workshop is for those who have at least one year’s experience working in a bids or proposals environment and who seek formal recognition of their knowledge and skills.

Foundation certification is also a prerequisite for experienced bid managers who wish to progress towards more advanced APMP Practitioner and APMP Professional certification levels.

What will I get out of it?

Workshop participants will receive a thorough introduction to each of the five APMP key competency areas listed below, as well as the opportunity to complete the online APMP exam at the conclusion of the training (one hour, open book, 75 multi-choice questions).

After successfully completing the exam, participants will gain the professional credibility of having completed the first step of APMP’s industry certification program. APMP will directly issue successful exam candidates with their APMP Foundation certification badge, providing public recognition of your knowledge and understanding of best practice proposal and bid management.

The APMP Foundation workshop covers the POSITION and BID phases of the business development lifecycle.

A minimum of one year of bidding/proposal experience is an entry requirement for sitting the APMP Foundation exam at the end of this workshop.

APMP membership is required to sit the exam. Please purchase your membership direct from apmp.org prior to registering for this workshop (your APMP Member ID will be required during registration). The APMP Foundation-level Certification Study Guide can also be purchased from apmp.org, and is recommended (but not compulsory).

Our APMP Foundation workshop is delivered online over two consecutive half-days and requires a commitment of 3.5 hours for a live Zoom session each day. At the end of day two you’ll be given the option to sit the online Foundation exam, which takes a further one hour. Alternatively, you can choose to complete the exam later at a time more suitable for you.

The Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) is the global industry body for professionals dedicated to the process of winning business through proposals, tenders, bids and presentations. Designed specifically for proposal professionals, APMP’s certification program is the only internationally recognised professional qualification pathway.

BidWrite (and its training division Bid Academy) is Australasia’s only APMP Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) and is approved to provide APMP certification training. Our trainers hold the highest level of APMP certification and can confidently guide participants through the training content and exam processes.

For APMP Foundation and Practitioner training workshops, certification badges are issued by APMP’s certification partner APMG International (apmg-international.com) after completion of your exam. This happens independently of BidWrite and Bid Academy so if you encounter any issues with receiving your certification badge, you’ll need to contact APMG directly.

Bid Academy uses Zoom Meetings to deliver our online workshops. This enables us to utilise functionality such as screensharing, breakout rooms, reactions and polls.

We accept all major credits cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

Alternatively, for larger payments, you can opt to pay by invoice. If you select this option, you’ll need to ensure payment is made no later than 3 days prior to the commencement of your course, so we recommend paying as soon as possible after you receive your invoice.

You may cancel your training registration at no cost up to seven days before the scheduled training date. You’ll receive a full refund of all payments. No refund is payable for cancellations made less than seven days before the course date. However, in such cases you are welcome to nominate a colleague to attend in your place.

Minimum and maximum registration numbers apply per course. Any decisions by us to cancel a course due to insufficient numbers will be made no later than one week prior to any published course date. You’ll be notified should this occur, at which point you can elect to transfer your booking to the next available date or request a full refund.
