Earn a certification that demonstrates your mastery of bidding best practice.

Practitioner certification is the second step in the Association of Proposal Management Professionals’ (APMP) globally recognised certification program specifically designed for proposal professionals.

Delivered online, this 3.5-hour training workshop prepares candidates for the APMP Practitioner Certification Objective Training Examination (OTE). It includes a definition of the different exam question types, tips on approved preparatory resources, practice questions and a practice scenario.

Please note: the APMP examination fee is not included in our Practitioner workshop pricing.

Who is the APMP Practitioner workshop for?

Practitioner certification is aimed at more experienced bid managers who have worked in a bids or proposals environment for at least three years, and who seek formal recognition of their advanced knowledge and skills. It is also ideal for those leading other bidding staff.

Prerequisites: a minimum of three years of bidding/proposal experience, a current APMP membership and Foundation level certification are entry requirements for completing the APMP Practitioner exam.

“Nigel ran the workshop in a very welcoming and warm fashion, and made the content accessible and as easy to understand as possible. While I felt comfortable taking the Foundation exam without doing a workshop, I knew I needed some extra support in preparing for Practitioner. I wasn't wrong! The workshop was time and money extremely well spent and I'd recommend it to anyone preparing for this certification.”
– Shireen Lenormand, Lead Contracts Specialist, Stryker Australia Pty Ltd
“I found the workshop enjoyable and challenging. I really enjoyed networking and getting to know the other members and listening to how they do things at their companies. It makes you look at things from different perspectives and it has helped to prepare me for the exam.”
– Rachel Delaney, Proposals Manager, Georgiou Group Pty Ltd
“Nigel has so much knowledge and experience, its always a pleasure to listen to and learn from him. His passion and enthusiasm for bidding always encourages me to want to do a better job in my role and reminds me why I enjoy bidding. In terms of the exam itself … I thought it might be too difficult. However after going through the workshop I really feel much more confident in wanting to sit the exam as well as my chances of passing it!”
– Melanie Namburi, Bid Coordinator, Toll Group

What will I get out of the APMP Practitioner workshop?

Once you’ve completed the workshop, you can then schedule and complete the 2.5-hour Practitioner Objective Testing Examination (OTE) at your own convenience. Please note that unlike our Foundation course, the APMP examination fee is not included in our Practitioner workshop pricing.
